Every year, Old Town Spring hosts a number of spectacular events which help benefit our local community. With your help, we hope to add more festivals and events to our town each and every year.
SpringFest – Wine & Art Festival Texas Style!
March 5-6, 2011.
SpingFest is the largest wine tasting and exhibition event in the Houston area. Hosted with that home style Texas feel, our wine festival helps showcase Texas wineries and vineyards. Not a wine lover? Don’t worry, we also showcase some of the best beers from our award winning micro breweries.
SpringFest also showcases the art work of local artists from the Houston area. This really is an event which can be enjoyed by the entire family.
Celebration of Easter
Annually – Easter
Old Town Spring is lucky enough to be one of those towns the Easter Bunny likes to visit each year. Bring your children down to meet their favorite furry friend and join in our annual Easter Egg hunt.
Our local community of merchants act as helpers for the Easter Bunny, providing extra eggs and prizes which can be won throughout the day. Some also let the Easter Bunny hide eggs in their stores, making it all the more fun to search for the whole family.
Make this Easter special and visit Old Town Spring. Events and entertainments provided for Mom and Dad!
The Texas Crawfish Festival
April 20-22 & 27-29, 2012
Our Crawfish Festival is the most anticipated event in Texas each year. With over 70 tons of Crawfish served and live performances from some of Houston’s best local bands, our Crawfish and music festival is must for foodies and music lovers alike.
Join us to experience authentic Louisiana and Cajun crawfish cuisine created by the best cooks in the area.
If our craw fish don’t tickle your fancy, enjoy our family orientated entertainments. With carnival style rides, on street vendors, midway games and more, you will certainly find something for everyone.
Our Crawfish festival is also a great place to experience the best in Houston arts and music. We have 3 live music stages with a range of different acts from country to rock and so much more.
Longhorn Rod Run
September 24- 25, 2011
If you want to experience a taste of Old Town Spring way back when, this event is for you. Come see cars from decades past, all in pristine condition line our streets.
The Longhorn Rod Run event is one of Old Town Spring’s best known events. Various competitions are held for the owners of these classic automobiles, with great prizes at steak (as well as bragging rights!).
Competitions, games and entertainments are also provided for our visitors. Also, be sure to keep a close eye out for celebrities and icons of the past. This event is fun for the whole family.
October 22-23, 2011
We team up with a number of animal shelters and adoption centers from the Houston area to promote strong animal care education. We also work with local animal rescue groups to help find these lovely pets new homes and a better chance in life.
While the onus of this event is to find our furry friends new and loving homes, we also help to provide education about animal care.
This event is sponsored by our entire community who donate gifts for competition prices and help organize other events within Old Town Spring to make this one of the best events of the year.
Whether you are an animal lover, or just looking for a fun weekend activity, PetFest is one event you need to attend.
