 The Angels and Divas Foundation part of the Angels and Divas Network is established to raise money and awareness to promote,support,educate and motivate, and to provide resources to various members of our communities in need including youth, families, elderly and military.

Angels and Divas Network

Mission – One PERSON Can make a difference—–This network is established to connect like-minded individuals who share the desire to serve our communites and motivate our youth to achieve successful educational and career goals.  We will inspire learning, drive and ambition by combining a program that utilizes art, crafts,dance, music, technology,business and life skills seminars. Helping them to develop natural talents and abilities  as well as motivating them to give back to their communities. We will provide an environment that rewards positive action, builds individual and group confidence, and fosters dignity and respect.

Letter from the President

I am pleased to announce the formation of the Angels and Divas Network, a non-profit organization committed to supporting our youth and communities.  Our vision is to show each One can make a difference by connecting “friends”–like-minded individuals who share the desire to serve and motivate in our communities.
Our network and foundation will help participants to gain the courage and confidence necessary in developing and achieving educational and career goals.  The FashMart Group will be our group of creative talent and businesses responsible for producing and supporting community  events.
As the owner of at HARPERS fabulous finds, a shop in Old Town Spring, Texas that supports over 60 artisans and a chairman of the Spring ISD Advisory Board, I have seen first-hand how we can help support existing services.  There are women and young people who need outlets for their talent, as well as workshops and education to fully develop skills and discover new ones. Angels and Divas came together a short time ago when Houston native and Legal Researcher Gina Dugat and I recognized that we, along with a network of close friends and colleagues, had the desire, the power, and the will to make a positive change in our community.
Our goal is to provide ongoing activities and workshops, as well as the resources and mentoring necessary to assist those in need of identifying and achieving their dreams.  Our first priority is raising funds to secure a facility for a Create and Career Center. The creative arts will be used to help students connect and learn in a progressive environment that utilizes technology and old fashioned hands on expression of creative talent through art, crafting, music and dance. Business workshops will focus on career development in areas such as resume-building, interview etiquette, body language and appearance.  We will provide critical resources for job-seekers, including internet access, assistance with job sites, and clothing, accessories and transportation for interviews. Youth workshops will include a variety of creative arts and computer classes and skills workshops including college and career planning. We plan to utilize HARPERS to showcase and/or sell the items created by participants with part of proceeds going to support the foundation.  We will eventually have an emporium filled with artisan made items that will also provide real life business training for participants.
We believe passionately there could not be a better time to help one another achieve our best in life, and we look to your generosity in helping make this network true angels for those who are in need. This is the beginning of a wonderful journey and we invite all of you to join us in networking to build our vision of helping others to help themselves.
We are currently a nonprofit under the rules of Texas law and are applying for 501 3 c status with the Federal Government as well to provide tax benefits.

Our Plan

The ethos of the Angels and Divas Foundation is to empower women and youth via exploring their creative side. We believe that exploring creativity and involvement in arts can help those we support to find new avenues in which to express themselves.

The Angels and Divas Foundation works with local women and children to encourage creativity. We believe that having the opportunity to express personal creativity is the crux to personal development and self empowerment.
How We Help 

The Angels and Divas Foundation will provide numerous services and hosts events with the aim at promoting art and creativity for women and children in the Houston area. We will work with a number of other organizations to help provide services which both empower and help our local community.

We have a multi-focus approach to our services. All of which are designed to help women and youth to thrive via arts and creativity in many different ways.  We believe the rebirth of the Artisan, those who historically created merchandise that was both functional and art is important in today’s world as more people get involved in crafting and do it yourself projects.  We will bring together the experts and those who have a desire to learn.

FashMart -  An annual fundraising event where Fashion Meets Art providing an outlet for local talent to showcase their fashion and creative talent.  All profits from the sale of items go directly to the Angels and Divas Foundation.  Make up Artists, Stylists, Designers, Photographers and Artisans will all work together to present an amazing one of a kind experience for the audience.

Students Create -An annual fundraiser for high school students to showcase their talent and win prizes and scholarships.

For Teens

We will host a wide range of events and provide structured services in order to help our local youth to explore their creative side. Our services help local children in many different ways. From structured art therapy services to hosting after school programs, we provide a safe haven for children to become empowered.

Future Goal Art Therapy

We reach out to local children in need and help them to utilize the power of creativity in order to recover from trauma or loss.

Art therapy is known to help children in need to overcome problems they face every day, by providing them with a creative outlet in which they can start on the long road to personal recovery.

We work with a number of other local organization in order to provide professional art therapy services.

After School Programs

We will provide a number of after school, weekend and holiday activities. By providing a safe and secure place to go with structured, creative activities, we believe that we can help our youth grow and gain a spirit of giving back.

Many children in the Houston area do not have the opportunity to participate in most extra curricular activities for a number of reasons, one of the main being poverty. As such, many local children find themselves at a loose end once school ends, and this can lead them down a path of bad personal choices.

The Angels and Divas Foundation provides a number of extra-curricular classes, events and activities designed to help our local youth and prevent them from making bad personal choices. Providing a secure environment and structured activities which help kids to focus on their creative powers can help to give our local children new avenues in life.

 

For Women

Creative Empowerment

We encourage women to empower themselves by exploring their artistic and creative skills. Whether you are a life long artisan, or new to art, we will help you to unleash your creative side to the maximum potential.

Exploring art and creativity can help to build confidence and provide a new avenue of interest for women. The Angels and Divas Foundation provide classes, courses and events to help our  women build confidence and explore new opportunities via the arts as well as workshops in other areas needed to achieve success and career goals.

Whether you are an experienced artist, or are just looking to find a new hobby, our program can help you to develop your artistic skills and build personal confidence.

Artisan to Entrepreneur

We at the Angels and Diva Foundation understand that it is essential for most to find extra avenues for income. We provide a range of services to help our artisans to develop business models and start selling their work.

The Angels and Divas Foundation works closely with at Harpers to provide a way for our artisans to showcase and sell their work. Regardless of the artistic genre, we can provide you with a store based location in which you can sell your art pieces and gain exposure in one of Old Town Spring’s most popular stores.

Artists are able to sell their pieces on consignment, or directly to the public from both the Harpers store front location, or on the at Harpers website.

We are also implementing a strategy whereby our artisans can directly sell their products online. This means our artisans can incur lower costs and make maximum profit.

Healing and Therapy

Angels and Divas Foundation supports the idea that healing can be achieved via the power of creativity. We will work with a number of other local charities in order to provide events and art classes  to provide therapy and healing through creativity.

Granting women the power to recover from trauma or illness through creativity is one of the most important causes Angels and Divas Foundation champions. Art provides an outlet in which women can express their inner emotions and begin the healing process.

Angels and Divas Designs

Our design team creates unique jewelry, accessories, home decor and furniture.  We also specialize in everything for the Vintage Bride and Wedding.  A percentage of the profits generated from Angels and Divas Designs goes directly back into our foundation and allows us to develop more programs to help our local community.
